Can this mobo[790i ultra] use DDR2 even though it says it uses DDR3?
And, how the hell are you supposed to get your PCI cards in there with 2 or 3-way SLI working[9800gx2.well,any actually]?They block the PCI ports! I was thinking about doing 2 or 3-way when I build my desktop but I guess I'll have to settle for 1 card instead, considering I have 2 PCI cards I need to put in too.

You can only use ddr3 and as for the pci slot question u can still use them depending on the card you get. only thing is that the pci-card will block the grafix fan.

I plan on doing water cooling anyway. But uhm, damn! If I can find some cheap DDR3 then I'll so go for that instead I guess :P

You can get 2 gigs of DDR3 1066 for like $102 on newegg, but honestly, the 790i isn't even worth it at this point, with a 780i and 3 9800GTX you can achieve the same performance and even better in some situations as a quad SLI setup with 9800 GX2.

Also the price of 3 9800GTX is cheaper than two GX2

Yes but then I can't have my 2 PCI cards in. A sound card and a wireless adapter [needed or I won't have access the way my internets set up. Everything's upstairs, and my PC will be downstairs.]
I'm still going for just 1 GX2, maybe 2 if I find a diff solution
