Static Elctricity is NOT your friend
« on: June 22, 2008, 02:13:01 PM »
Please guys, some of the damage to Mobos are not your mods.

They are dying from static electricity. Please spend the 5 bucks and buy and use a static wrist strap.

The electronics industry spends billions of dollars on static prevention. They would not do it if it were not a
problem.

If you are going to mod buy a static wrist strap and use it before you ever open the case !!!!!!!!!!

Just because it does not die the day you open the case, It can die for no reason days, weeks or months later.

Number one rule USE A STATIC WRIST STRAP.

umm an anti-static wrist band attached to anything anti static, would make the wrist band ineffective.  The idea is the static goes from the band to whatever it's attached to...
