i just spent two hours fixing my intarwebz

the airport extreme had the flashing amber for some reason, so i've been working tirelessly for two hours on the base machine and my lappy to fix it!

in the end, i have no idea how i did! one thing i do know was that i needed to set up the wireless part all over again, the tough part was getting the wired part to work

i'm very unhappy

fortuanately my parents wont wake me up at 5 asking why the internet wont work and then asking me to fix it...
any ideas what happened??? i hate comcast, stupid throttlers
and no, the unplug replug did not work

so...what happened, what could've happened, and is there somthing i can do to avoid it based on the former criteria!?!

My APE had some trouble, try reseting it first, then enter all the details.

Is it Creating a network or Extending One?

what i do:

1: get friggin mad
2: run to the router
3: tell it to fock off
4: unplug it
5: wat 5 min
6: try it again
7: if it works good it it doesnt watch nr 8
8: try the reset button
9: if it works, grats, if it doesnt watch nr 10
10: your screwed

I get some errors sometimes with my routers too.
I use 2 routers dammit and when my network doesn't work,
I reset both and re-enter my username and password for
my internet connection and everything is ok.
Reseting them and entering your info again works for me.

just get a linksys wrt54G router, no problems with that one and you are able to tune it up by puting custom firmwares on it.

fcc chairman kicked them in the butt for that
