Soldering Irons - What is Best? What do YOU use?
« on: July 29, 2008, 10:19:47 PM »
So just wanted to get everyone's opinion. What soldering iron do you use? What do you think is the best if you have tried multiple ones? The reason I'm asking is cause the iron I have right now is really good for general purpose soldering, but not good at all for precision (small spaces) soldering.

I have 30 watt iron for Harbor freight but I'm planning on buying a cheap dual 15/30 watt iron from radioshack later on

that sounds bad ass i want one i do everything with my newest 60 watt i got in this electronics tools kit Ive never even had problems with it on psp and i go trough tips like nothing because i dremmel the tips to a very thin sharp point but that seems to make them like flake apart and like disintegrate over time and im really bad about leaving it pluged in
