so for my birthday a little while ago i got enough money for either an iTouch or a Laptop in the $500 to $700 range from what i have looked at i have seen some pretty decent laptops but i have wanted the iTouch for a long time so here is the question guys laptop or itouch? i have no idea which to get so thanks for your input

Meh. Too cheap for a good laptop in my opinion. Go 32GB iTouch. Definitely NOT 8GB. I only have 1200 songs and NO space left on there. I can't even sync my library over lol.

It would be hard for you to find a good laptop at that price but there are alot of UMPC's out in that price range that are awesome in my view, it all comes down to what you want, I was torn between an iTouch and a UMPC but I've decided to get a UMPC for general power of it. I plan to mod the crap out of it and a very cheap price. The only downfall of a UMPC is the space because of the SSD, but now most of them are sold with an optional HDD with 120 GB's or so. If you are interested in getting a UMPC then feel free to contact me and I can show you them and give you the best deals.

well i just want it for basic functions mostly and also for games nothing to powerful like crysis i was gonna play assassin's creed Oblivion and half-life 2 (just for gmod) other than that i would use it for media like moveis and junk my dad also insists that our wireless router be in his room which is right next to mine and my computer is in the basement whereas he has a laptop so... i dunno i was really considering an HP its on sale (due to the back to college timing =) anyway here is the page i was looking at http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8907944&type=product&id=1213046785626

AHHHH. I personally hateee AMD processors in laptops. And the screen is horrible on that thing!

Nothing really. I just personally like C2DM CPUs better. Every laptop I've used or had that had an AMD CPU was slow and crappy even though there were generally good specs.

ive had the 16gb itouch and personally i loved it but got bored of it. all i did with it was play lil games and watch movies and listen to music. so yea i returned it and got a 360 then i returned that and got my wii now i sold the wii and now i have psps again and now im sellin the psps. lmao. sniff i miss my i touch now i want the 32gb one but to expensive.

i vote laptop,you can do much more on a laptop including everything that you can do with an itouch
