rapid fire PIC chip programming

I programmed the chip using the HEX supplied by this forum, then i wired just as it said to wire the "sleeper mode controller" and it didnt work, the rapid fire works with momentary switches but not with a toggle on the right trigger. if anyone could help i would greatly appreciated. any method to use the right trigger instead of momentary switch would be great.
