Turtle Beach X1 Replacement Part
« on: August 22, 2008, 12:16:09 PM »
Hey, I have the turtle beach x1 but the cable that goes from the volume control to the controller broke. I was wondering if a 2.5mm male to male would replace this? If not, could I use a 3.5mm female to 2.5mm male for the pink cable to the controller? Thanks, and sorry if this doesn't make sense.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

ok, np. i had the cable and cant sell it seperate.  only reason i offered complete set.

is this what you need, if so ill get measurements for you in needed.  im sure if i had a new cable and your mute part, i could fix so you still have mute.  or i can diagram and you can try to fix, if you still want mute.

You should be able to just put a switch on the line in wire if you makeshift your own, it'll turn that wire on/off thus turning the mic on/off.

Should work.

Hey, that's exactly what I need. I don't care for the mute or volume control. I just want to know if 2.5mm m-m will work?

Also, if you are wondering how it's broken, the top of the mute port/input thingy(?) is broken.

i have a broken ms headset, i might be able to help you so you can keep volume and mute.

I don't care for volume because it will go through the headset instead of the TV, and it has an amplifier. I don't need mute cause it was a pain in the ass to find the damn volume/mute box in the first place. It wasn't right on the controller like the above picture.

not sure on x1 but on x3 the volume control turns the headset volume up, so you can hear people better.

Can anyone link me to a 2.5mm m-m on a trusted site?
