« on: August 29, 2008, 12:00:30 PM »
Would it be possible to hock up the PSP screen on the DS and/or Motherboard to play PSP with touch screen or give memory to  the DS

you know what....

you just gave me a wicked cool idea.

I know this would be nearly impossible to pull off, but I really like the idea of putting the psp's top screen in the top of the ds. with some godly moding skils (yeah... the ones i dont have) we could fit the psp mobo in the ds, right some firmware, and have a top screen psp, and the bottom can just display something (or turn off), we'd have to make it play some "legitimate" backups, seeing as there's no room for a umd and cart slot.

a boy can dream... *sigh*

Yes, a boy can DREAM.

There's no way. Oh and you wouldn't need to write anything for it if all you're doing is moving the screen to the top. It doesn't change anything. And there's no reason for a second screen, at all. And don't talk about illegal things here!!

Couldn't you just run a PSP emulator on DS homebrew?

.... hooking up the screen to the ds doesn't magically give the ds the powers to play psp games. That'd require the hooking up of the psp motherboard. Either way, quoting LeadBaron,

You should study an Informations systems engineering course on FPGA's.
Then good luck with it.
