Internal Mod:
CR-3100 internal Mod Tutorial

So, In reality you could have 64GB internally for your PSP for around $475, correct?
Is there a cheaper way or even another way to get 64GB or higher inside your PSP?
Do you think the PSP would lag when playing games thew the memory sticks?

Thanks!

There's another thread JUST like this where I already posted it's possible and all.
Cheaper? PF 3100 and 2 32gb SD cards.
Next time please read the related topics before posting, thanks.

Actually I think the PF 3100 can only support up to 16 gb cards atm. Also, when did you get promoted to mod!? Gratz!

Lol thanks. Well, if it can only support 16gb, then the ONLY way to get it would be to get 2 32gb micro sd cards and get the PF 5400.

Yeah, basically. So, it'd cost 90 bucks just for the adapters and stuff.

I'm not gonna bother linking. There's a lot.
No, it shouldn't lag, at least there's no reason for it to.
Okay, looked around for you and it doesn't seem like 32gb micro sd cards are made. Not that I found.

That means 64gb isn't possible yet, as the 3100 has a 16gb limit, and the 5400 has a 32gb card limit.
That means, it won't work if you put 32gb in each 5400 and then in the 3100, it's too much for the 3100 to read.

I'm sure a better one will come out in a matter of weeks or months or so. Until then, 32gb is the max it seems.

That i'm aware of 2x 32gb sd cards would work fone, it's only on OFW that there is a limit preventing you having more than 32gb, but on CFW the limit has been removed. i Will get two 32gb cards to test it, well when i get a little more money, there pretty expencive even for sd cards.

true, but i think they do work with this, otherwise photoshop wouldn't advertise that it supports 2x 38gb sd cards.

Hmm,
does anyone know PhotoFast's acual website URL?

I've been seeing 32 and 64 max on multiple websites.

It sounds like you would be able to with CFW, but idk without someone trying it.... I'll try and find there "official website" and see what they say.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found there Official website:
www.photofast.jp/

and it looks like the highest the CR-3100 can read is 16GB cards
"Supported card types    SD 256MB - 4GB, SDHC 4GB - 16GB x2"

Source:http://www.photofast.tw/eng/CR_3100.html

I have a question about this whole concept... The 3100 reads SD cards, not pro duo...

So how would you translate the pro duo data to SD for the 3100?

After all is said and done, wouldn't you expect to see a loss of speed from all this translating going on?

LOL Good point! You can't use the 5400 in the 3100 in the first place then! Lol wow I can't believe none of us realized that.

Doesn't matter..... the 3100 can only support 16gb per card, and the 5400 can only support 8gb per card... look at the math:

Cost for using the 5400 x 2 with 4x 8 gb cards and then putting it into the 3100:

5400: $30 x 2
8 gb sd: $40 x 4
3100: 50$
total: $270 for 32 gigs of memory

Just using a 3100 with 2 16gb sd cards:

3100: $50
16 gb sd: $80 x 2
total: $210 for 32 gigs of memory

It just isn't practical... Getting just the 2 5400 adapters and a 3100 is already 110 bucks, and 4 8 gb cards will cost you another 160 bucks.

But, if just you just get the 3100, it only costs you 50 bucks, while the 2 16gb cards cost the same as the 4 8 gb cards...

Sig by Kenshinffx - Thanks!
