Help With Sickmods Fader Deluxe!!!
« on: October 09, 2008, 12:57:16 AM »
What up Acidmods!!  I am doing the LED FADER DELUXE mod and a couple others but I need some help with the wiring of the PCB.  In the tutorial by*FuFa it says:

"STEP 3. MODE DECISION

Leds on: Leave both wires unsoldered.
Leds off: Solder S1 to -
Leds fading: Solder S2 to -

Now you should have 2 wires left unsoldered, they are probably from the S1 and S2 spot from the fader, with those you can change the modes of your Fader. You can either solder them to a switch, or solder them to a Ground point, so the Modes are not changeable.

I am confused about what exactly this means.  I want the leds to be off when the psp is off and fade when it is on.  So would I not solder a wire to S1 at all or just leave it unsoldered and solder S2 to a ground point or back to the - contact on the PCB?  As for the switch what kind of switch do I need because I have tried momentary switches and know they dont work.  Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!
Thanks
