« on: October 11, 2008, 05:59:52 PM »
well 1st when i turn on my psp it stays on for about 2 seconds then it turns of..even when pluged in to charge. could this be a problem with the Main board?

2nd. the backlight switch on my psp broke. the black thing the hold it down came off. i tryed to fit the cable in and it wouldnt go all the way in. is there any way to fix this.

i think its the motherboard of the psp so i think i should order a new one.  where's the best place to find one?

Do what i did, Use a pair of tweezers to get it to slide in all the way, then throw a dot of hot glue on it to keep it in place. Then don't take it apart again :) Or find a way to work around it

Also about the power shutting off, Sounds more like you have a short somewhere. Take it from the king of shorts to the LCD cage :P
A few things to check.
-If you soldered anything start there.
-If you did any of the speaker mods. I know that was a problem for me, the damn wire insulation would split for some odd reason and ground out on the LCD cage.

If any of these are the problem move your wiring or use some insulating tape.

ya i had the same problem with my speaker leds. i just put electric tape under the lcd cage and made sure it fit good. another thing try not to force it in sometimes that can cause a short.
