When i try charge my sisters ipod nano 4G using my firewire (old, i know) Ac adaptor it says "connection not supported" or something like that, yes probably because its firewire so im wondering if theres a way to somehow make it work with it or does it only work with the usb ac adaptor?

The new 4g doesn't support FireWire at all. Only USB.
