Cant get my Razor X to work with spring...

I cant seem to be able to use the spring method to get my razor X to ground correctly, it wont do anything once its put together, if i get a washer and move it around on top of the board it will work but not with a nub on top because i cant figure out the rubber band method, ive tried tinning the Razor PCB and still no luck, anyone have any suggestions?
