there was an old lua program released that using a pc program sent the picture from your pc's webcam to your psp via usb and updated the picture every two seconds, slow but prove if concept...

blaze can you track that program down for me ?

especially if it comes with the source code.

I have a webcam running on my NSLU2 and if I had the old software I could send the images to the PSP/

umm... don't know what pspkicks meant by "not possible" but the program i was referring to does work, but it does not by connecting the webcam to the psp. You have a webcam on your computer and using a mixture of usbhostfs and another program on the pc, the image/s from the webcam is sent to the psp and the lua program displays it... here's the program link

Thanks I am checking the information now.

The NSLU2 is a linux based computer that runs usbhostfs, nethostfs, remotejoy, and is smaller than the PSP.

We are using it to build a usb host controller so we can interface all sorts of things to the PSP.

This is just one more to add to what we are doing.

he didnt get it to work but basically what it does is connect the psp to the internet via the usb port

What I meant by not possible, is that it's not possible. What's so hard to understand about that? You can't just connect a webcam to a psp. If it's even REMOTELY possible, it would be through something Linux based like gr8 said.

as easy as it is to say its impossible, i have to disagree.  anything is possible, just depends on the amount of time and money you want to invest into a project of this caliber.  heck, i got tv on my psp through vlc player on a wifi network.  one channel at a time, but heck, its a start.  i have successfully made my laptop monitor into an external monitor for my fat psp.  now i need to map a controller to my computer to play my psp on it through usb.  to think, a month ago i didnt know anything about my fat psp.  now i'm modded up to 5.00 m33, with cxmb and a handful of themes.  so, to say its impossible would be a lie, just improbable.  good luck in figuring it out though

Okay. 1, do NOT bump old threads.
2, no, you're wrong.
It IS impossible. You can't connect a slave device to another slave device. Research before posting.
