PSP USB Port Problem.
« on: December 08, 2008, 03:43:10 PM »
Hi guys, all new to acid mods here and hopefully some of you guys can help me out.

Just recently became in the modding scene, making pandoras, changing faceplates ps2joysticks on psp's etc.

Anyway, i stumbled across a black fat psp from a bloke at my school and he wanted 80 for it, so im like, meh, not everyday you come across a psp for 80 bucks. Took it home, everything was good untill i saw the usb slot was a bit unusual, i tried plugging it in, nothing happened, anyway i uploaded a video so you can all see my problem, and hopefully a few of you's can help.

I think it's just a standard USB port, but I'm not sure if you could desolder and resolder the USB port. You should be able to, but check with someone else first.

id try my best to get my money back. the guy must have known it was broken when he sold it to yoou. he just plain ripped you off. But youshould be able to find an old busted motherboard that you could steal the usb from. Check around the site, there are plenty of people with broken ones.

Whoa you'd let off a phat for 30? Gimme! Well actually I'd have to ask my dad first, but damn, that's a good deal.
