Have a problem with a customers PSP
« on: December 30, 2008, 05:41:21 PM »
Ok, so i fixed a customers cousins PSP about 2 months ago. i had to replace a screen, which is pretty much idiot proof. his cousin tried playing on a network but cant connect. it gave him an error message: "An Internal Error has occured (80410A0B)". what is that? he said that the wlan light doesnt even come on. His sound works though, so the daughter boards not fried. anyone?

Did you change the mobo or wifi board?

It may be the wifi componant itself. It is a black rectangle on the back of the wifi board. It's connected with tons of tiny pins. If one comes apart, then it can cause the wifi not to function. It can be caused by dropping it. I think that your "customer" is just looking for someone to blame it on.

in the recovery menu format flash1 and reset settings... although i would recommend installing 5.00 as i see no need to be running older firmwares....

if that doesnt work then try cleaning the connector that connects the wifi board to the mobo
