PSP not loading homebrew and games

When I try to start a game or homebrew, the psp freezes at the white psp loading screen. I got this motherboard from another member here and was told it doesn't load homebrew and games. I reflashed the psp several times and it still doesn't work. Anyone know whats wrong?
