messed 5v soldering points..

its me again...

so i kinda messed my 5v points..

yeah i know its easy to solder this one

but my soldering skills are not that good

so i was wondering if there is other 5v points in mobo

coz i can't use my 5v coz it was scraped out when i remove the lead blob..

can you give me pinout of 5v..thanks guys..

       There is another 5v point location. Check out the red dot. This 5v location is constant power, not switched. I have use this solder point many times before with out problems.

I messed up the 5v spot on one of my mobos too. I suck at soldering still.

   No time to quit now. Soldering is something you practice head on. Having a good soldering iron and tip will make your soldering practices much easier. Take your ruined mobos and practice your soldering skills on them before you tackle another good mobo. Good Luck and Keep Modding.

Just get a pair of sharp tweezers (The really sharp ones) and sratch down on that ruined 5v point until you see copper, then solder straight to that

follow back that trace from where the pad was, scratch the insulation to reveal the copper and solder to that. Or find one yourself with a multimeter.

all this is +5v, just scratch off some of the green insulation then tin and solder.

atomic, best thing to do, get a sharper, more precise tip, then practice with it, like a lot

Before my hands were VERY shakey when soldering, over a few weeks i did about an hour of soldering, and I was much better

Now its about a year later, and my hands are REALLY precise, even when they start burning (Holding too near the tip).... Lol

Just evidence that practice makes perfect

So yeah, just grab some old peices of PCB out of broken electronics and just solder wires from bit to bit, and try to get the best joint possible, with the least amount of solder and the cleanest job, once you have managed to acheive that a lot, then work on speed, as heating parts for too long can cause damage, you want the soldering iron on for the least amount of time possible

Oh yeah, and dont use cold heat... It ruins electronic equipment
