Stripped screw stuck? how to get it out???
« on: March 07, 2009, 06:15:51 PM »
I replaced my faceplate and accidentally tightened one of my screws too tight, now I can't get it out and it is partly stripped. I've tried the superglue on screwdriver head method bu it doesn't work. Is my only other option to use a uhm.. forget the size drill bit but it's PIN HEAD sized small, I measured it with another PSP screw and it is the exact size. So is my only other option to use a dremel and drill out the old screw? I have replacement screws for it but not sure how to actually get it out. it's the bottom right screw on the slim.  :help:

Maybe try to drill the screw like you said. Make sure you dont melt the plastic though  :boxed:

Would a drill-press work better? more precise? more powerful?
