What a nightmare.
« on: March 11, 2009, 05:02:26 PM »
Well as you may or may not know I traded my desktop for a macbook pro. Which I absolutely adore. But the guy I traded it to is having alot of troubles. Whenever he tries to install things it has problems (eg. Locking up while installing or not finding files). I am not sure what is causing it but he keeps calling me asking for help. We have wiped the hard drive and reinstalled everything as well as changing out the dvd drive. My best guess is it needs a new dvd drive. What should I tel him? I am keeping my macbook pro no matter what though

Ideas?

Well it had vista black on it but  he decided he wanted to start over so he tried to install his copy of vista home and that did not work so he tried to install xp which worked. Then he tried to install vista black and that worked. Then while he was trying to install call of duty world at war it froze in the middle. Then he restarted and got it to run. Then whenever he tried to install a patch it froze in the middle of it and said it could not find a legal copy of the game and he said it is legal.
