Would this be able to run Crysis well (around med-high setting)

try the Radeon 4850 or even the 4770 , they will be much much better than this one...... Both will be able to run crysis at high and 1900X1200 Resolution..

yea, my dads 9600gso can run crysis at high settings 1440 x 900

It depends on how much you game, if you are a heavy gamer then go for a hd4890 or gtx 280. Not enthusiast cards but pretty well future proofed.
