HELP!!! STRIPPED SCREW!!!

ok so i was disassembling my psp to put a backplate on it, but there is a stripped screw in the lcd cage... what should i do to get it off?? i have another lcd cage i can put in if it breaks and i have extra screws.. but i need to know how to get it off first... any suggestions??

one thing you could try is take the door off carefully and see if you can access the back of the screw. if so needle nose pliers. and try to turn it out till the front has enough to grasp. other than that i dont think a small drill bit would do much, it might get it out but then another might not go in. that screw doesnt go to the case it just holds the cage to the mobo, so if you get it out it is not necessary to put one in. just remember to take the 2 screws out for the umd door to come off. one is the middle one in the pic and the other is black(should be) by the right speaker. i hope this helps

drill into it... that's the only thing that actually works... it will completely wreck the screw but I guess it'll be fine..

put a little cooking oil on it.  :dntknw: my friend did it, and i have too and it works grat
However today I was brutally raped by a door handle, and none of my friends helped me up off the floor after ten minutes, instead they all teabaged me, all 10 of them...

Just get a dremel, attach a slim cutting blade and cut a line across the screw. then you can use a flat headed screw driver to get it out. Or if your not keen on that method, you can use super glue on the end of a screwdriver, wait for it to set and try removing it.
