"a 2000 mcd 30° LED puts out just as much light as am 8000 mcd LED with a 15° viewing angle. (The angle is half in both width and height, so the beam is four times as bright.) This is one of the reasons that ultra-bright LEDs are often "water clear", to keep the light going in one direction and not diffuse it all over the place. "

Really? The diagram doesn't say.. that a bummer.

So that would be on the wire of pin 4 right? or the ground wire.

Alright someone clarify how many resistors are needed for the LM386?

is it 3? and where does the 10 ohm goes onto pin4 then solder to wire?

10ohm can go either on the + or - pins of the leds.

That the slim diagram, mines the phat.

So can you tell me if can solder the 10ohm directly onto the pin4 (ground) and then connect  it to the wire and that leads to the LED negative?

I have the Phat layout printed.

You said I need a 10 ohm onto the negative lead right?
So do I put that 10 ohm onto the pin4 then solder to wire then negative led side?

like   [PIN4]-~~10.OHM~~-wire->negative contact 0603

Good luck with your mod dude.
But don't use the points from the motherboard. Use them from the speaker itself. So much easier

Dude nobody is answering is :censored:ing question. Have we forgotten to read?

No you connect the 10 ohm resistor to the Positive side of the LEDs.

Resistors resist the amount of volts going to the leds, thats why they last longer.

If you need anything else just PM me it seems everyone else cares about arguing about MCD.

Also heres a quick picture:

I thought the resistor can go anywhere as long as it's in the same circuit and in series with the leds.
