next project! any advice?
« on: August 17, 2009, 05:08:59 AM »
Hey guys!
For my next project me and my cousin will try to put the internals of a slim psp(2000) to a phat (1000) case so there will be more space for mods.
has this ever been done before? any tips?
we are thinking of maybe
Led mods
Speaker mod (not sure if lm386 or direct contact)
Jewel mod
and a internalized 16 or 32 gb photofast cr5400
what else do you think we should add?

I like the idea. Someone asked this question before, but i don't think they got around to making it.

For the led lighting use a 2n2222 transistor. It works better than the im386 chip and requires less power.

You could also try the camera mod, apart from that i can't think of anything else.

guys i'm sorry to dissapoint you but  i dont think me and my cousin  could pull this one off  :)) =)) :|
cause we started cutting parts off the psp phat case but then. we realized that the power switch of the slim wouldnt fit unless we cut a big chunk out of the battery part meaning no more battery?

Well you could always add a button elsewhere for the power function.

Sorry to say this, but this mode just ain't worth it,not by a longshot, just get a new case for the 2000,there's no point in putting it in a phat case. There's way too much work involved for a mod that isn't realy that awesome or cool. There's more room to mod in the slim case than there is in a phat!
