so microsoft is upping the price of xbl for a year from 50 to 100 bucks

thats a dirty trick, hopefully its just a rumor. 

Like the old dealer trick... first times free.... good price till there hooked.... bammo jack it up once they cant resist.

I havnt paid more then $40/yr, last year i got a 13mth card for like $33 from buy.com

guess if push came to shove I would cough up the $100, but I doubt it will be that high.

i must admit you do get what oyu pay for as i far prefer the online 360 experience hence why i mainly play 360 now.

also if this is true i doubt it will last long because if they almost double it in price people will just boycott it at least for a bit and i bet that would force microsoft to go back to the price it is now. however the one way they could get away with this is if they bring out an even higher level of subscription with a lot more features only available in that level whilst not removing anything from the current level

if this is true, then ill probably end up having to get a job to pay for it. cuz my dad complains about having 2 live accounts already, but double it per-month and he'll probably cancel one of them.

One Word: iextreme. If there was no piracy, THEN i wouldnt have a 360. I can get probably any game for less than a dollar (price of DL disk).

yeah i even use iXtreme and a Kreon for backing up games, cause i have stupid friends that have broken my xbox 360 games in the past. I just use copies so they can break them I dont have to fork out another $60 just to buy the same game i already owned.
