Better FPS controller idea

Hi everybody, im new to modding.
I was thinking of a first project for me.
What if i was to replace the ABXY buttons with another analog stick?

I know it may sound stupid at first, but just think about it:

instead of wasting TONS of energy pressing a button (exaggeration),
it will make it one fluid motion in fps games.
instead of pressing the X button to, i dont know, switch weapons, you just quickly flick the joystick to the left, and it creates a nice fluid motion.

What ya guys think?

yeah thats a cool idea.....
but the ABXY runs on a completly different set up to a anolog...
you could probilly turn the ABXY into som form of dpad quite easilly
but im not sure if it would work as well as a normal set of abxy....

the best bet to make a better fps pad is first move the left anolog down to the dpad....
then set the dpad up as 4 buttons where the anolog was....
then move the ABXY butons to the back of the pad..... so your thumbs dont have to move off of th anolog....

and finally ad mod controls to where abxy were to turn lights and rapid fire on off of wot ever......

ill be making somthing like this soon
now ive finished my first controller re-design for the controller mod off.

but i didnt do all the button moves on it as it was my first redesign....
but next time ......

it really would not be that hard to do, the anolog sticks are potinimiters though, you would need to redesign thier output. but I am not sure it will give you as much of an advantage as you think, expessially if you need to activate the A function, or in this set up down, as you would have to move your thumb further to grab the stick and pull it down..

not going to be that easy to do either as it will requier shell modification etc. good luck, I wish you well, let me know if you need any help or advice.
