Calculator mods. WIP
« on: August 13, 2009, 12:34:45 PM »
Im doing an window LED mod on my calculator out of pure boredom.

A Friend also suggested a rechargeable battery thru USB which is also entirely possible.
This is a WIP, expect more pics  :drunk:

Hope you dont mind the double post, if you do, you can go ahead and merge these.

UPDATE:
I have found two switched power sources (turn on when you turn the calculator on), both are clocked at 2.3v, perfect for one LED each.

The black is a ground you can use, and red are the 2.3v sources:

Doing the wireing/window cut now. Anyone interested in a tutorial?

Seems to be coming up nice.....  How about making it a button reactive calculator ? Lights flash a different color whenever you press a button.... :D

My nickname at school is carrot cake, because i can't get tan. I get orange. and my face is shaped like a carrot. And i make a mean carrot cake.

Very possible, There is so little room in this calculator though, Finding space for the two 3mm LEDs that are in there is hard enough.

I would have to do SMDs, and I really hate those buggers.
