128 GB Quad regular SD slots.
« on: December 08, 2009, 07:09:29 PM »
Right now I have a white Vader psp 2001, I just installed the Cr-3100 internal on it. Pics soon. But I got thinking and as anyone ever thought about CPLD's as a multiplexer for additional memory control. IE: Using the cr3100 to get 2 sd slots and then splitting them this ... http://www.pldesignline.com/201801755?printableArticle=true
To get four SD slots! 128 GB solid state drive.
This will work. I know it.

yes that should work but there is still one problem.    The CR-3100 has a 64gb limit placed on it.  It has been confused/agued upon that it either has a 32gb limit or a 64gb limit.  Nobody really know because no one is rich enough to buy two 32gb sdhc cards to test.

I am almost positive 64 GB is possible. And Im going to quote a product page .....  "Maximum capacity: Depends on the capacity of used SD/SDHC". This is from DX.

The whole point Im trying to make is "memory control chips". The photofast units use them and so does the SD multiplexer. So with my CFW and daisy chaining 4 into 2 into 1. Each tier multiplies your capacity for memory expansion. So in theory physical size is the only limit i see, as far as an internal mod. But externally, lets say mounted in a hard case. hmmmmm.

I saw a thread where someone dropped the cash for two 32gb cards. He tried to place a file that was 33gb and it couldn't fit. So there is a 32gb hardware limitation to the cr 3100
