need some help on my xrocker
« on: July 10, 2010, 05:44:50 PM »
Hey guys long time no post lol but I have a small problem with the bass on my xrocker I think I have the very first model not to sure but the song will come out fine except the bass if i move the plug around a lil (mostly push up) the bass will come in and it has a good thump to it and everything but I don't want to hold the wire up as i listen to music.

Is there a way to fix this?

Might just need tightening inside. Just check it to make sure nothing that isn't meant to be is loose, and make sure everything is firmly in the correct place.

Check the connections to and from the jack first, one of them could be loose.

Sometimes older audio jacks become oxidized and corroded over time. Clean the inside of the female jack with alcohol and a Q-Tip. Clean the male plug with alcohol and cotton balls.

If nether of of those solutions mentioned above work maybe you need to re-solder the joints on the jack itself.
