What paint should i use for controller

I have seen the mod off pics and the controllers that were painted. I noticed that all of these controllers are shiny and smooth while the controllers I paint come out with a rough texture even after I clear coat them. Please help me with this problem.

Yes I was and it came out rough around the edges of the controller.

the roughness is usually cause by overspray, or not getting enough wet paint in that area.

use krylon fusion, colored to your choice, two coats, no clear.
