I own a 60gb ps3. I am wondering do I need to use liquid flux for the CPU and gpu when I'm fix? hot hot does the heat gun have to be?

or send in to sony and spend 120to get slim
and not worry about overheating and freezing and buy a 32gb laptop hdd for 60-70 bucks.

i know its a diff console but i know lordnico did it countless times... srsly almost everynight for over 2 yrs

i don't  to get the slim because it is not backward compatible and i don't even have a the money for it. i got most of the part to fix already
