New to controller modding, a couple of questions
« on: October 25, 2010, 11:34:32 PM »
I've done some works with PSPs before, and I've decided to branch out with my modding (read: I'm bored).  I'd like to do something simple like LED-lit buttons and analogs.  Anyways, my questions:

-Would you recommend I mod a wired or a wireless controller?  I have two wireless controllers at my disposal, so if there is no real difference in mod-ability I'd prefer to use one of those.

-Where would be a good place to get well-fitting clear buttons and/or analogs?  I found a guy on eBay (amd5600core) who casts them in various colors from the originals; I contacted him asking about pricing for a full set, but haven't heard back.  I've also looked at the sites like DX, CoolMods, FocalPrice, ect. but haven't found anything.

I started on wireless and was fine, you should be too.

a full set at his prices would cost around $30... if your going to spend $30 then just buy an entire shell, it's about the same.

custom_controller on ebay has some pretty good translucent analogs for cheap.
