Help me Im a noob
« on: October 18, 2011, 12:05:30 PM »
Hey there, I have recently stumbled across modding PS3 controllers and am very interested.  I want to put 11 LED lights in my PS3 sixaxis dualshock3 controller. 4 in the buttons, 4 for the dpad, 2 sticking out the inside of the handles, and 1 under the PS button.

The only part I'm really concerned about is the micro soldering.  I've done lots of soldering, but none on a motherboard, or that small of a scale.  I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I go about attaching the wires for 11 LED lights to the controller.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

what controller type do you have? the simplest way is to pull power from around the joystick points, its a nice big solder point
