not really the cat but the size of it

Size has no barring on the amount of destruction caused other than possible flooding. Size will only add more water and rain. The category is determined by wind speed which is the destructive forces everyone will notice. The wind is what drives and fuels the storm, it is what pushes the storm into land, faster winds=hardware impact more damage. Size or mass only means that more people will get rain. once you are a few miles out of the center of such a storm, the wind drops dramatically, and all you have are rain bands. '

This storm has been seriously over exaggerated. Ive have literally slept through worse. Just sayin.

The size doesn't really matter that much. If you are allegic to cats you will still be sneezing whether it is a big cat or a small kitten.

Dont get me wrong, the flooding damage in NY is bad, but we see that kind of damage every other year, We are used to it and know how to prepare for such a storm, and larger ones.

The main issue is that this storm has been building and sitting off the cost for days, The northern folks just do not have the same experience dealing with such disasters, did not prepare, and are now devastated.

If florida, all the sea walls in major areas would have been reinforced as with major coastal dams and levies. The florida building code was designed to help protect against this.

everything is good here, the storm took a last minute turn into new york. im surprised at the response of the state emergency crew. they were able to clear the debris on the road. i came home wondering where the trees and branches that were fallen when i was driving to work. electric company and insurance company was also on the road to respond quickly. Although not as bad as hurricane Irene, the state was more prepared than we usually were.
