Had enough of the new video game handhelds and consoles with the  ouya  that is hitting developers as of now As well as the new  gamestick Still gaining momentum with consumers with only 24 days left for the game stick to finish its campaign on kickstarter ,there seems to be a new player in town. If these guys can pull it off we may have a good contender in the ever increasing market
Meet Project Shield!. This new handheld device which was developed by Nivida,(known worldwide for its video cards as well as other computer peripherals) is unlike most. It features a full controller as well as a 5” 1280 x 720 screen with a Tegra 4, the world’s fastest mobile processor.

Powered by a quad core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU and 72 custom GPU cores its 6x the GPU horsepower of its predecessor through its second-generation battery saver core and PRISM 2 Display technology as well as an 33Whr battery which will keep it going for 5-10 hours. Also has incredible audio speakers built in. One of the main features of Project Shield is the ability to stream per- rendered computer games from your PC! This device also features a micro SD sits next to an HDMI output in the back. As well as one USB port, and a standard eighth inch audio jack.  Project Shield is running android and is said to be available to Canadian and American consumers in the 2nd quarter.

I have added video below as well as a few more pictures so you can see just how wonderful this device is going to be.

Wow, I would have never expected NVIDIA to come out with something like this, but it sounds very well done.  They definitely made it powerful enough to run any game....  but that doesn't mean much if it's only Android games.

It's a bit too weird for me to accept.  They put the console hardware in the controller, which scared me that it might be one hell of a heavy controller, and it might overheat in your hands.  Streaming a game running off a PC is only logical if you'd rather lay down and play away from your desk in your house, but it's still better to just hook up a game controller in your PC and play on a larger screen.

Ouya is already outdated and worthless compared to how revolutionary this is.  Having a portable console/controller/display all in one is a very cool idea, it would feel like real console gaming anywhere you are on-the-go.

As for the GameStick, since it lacks a screen, it's not something you're going to ever pull out of your pocket and play on-the-go.  Millions of people have Android devices that they can pull out and play whenever they want, which is way more practical than this.
