Winter mod off winners!

The people have spoken and elected the winners of our annual winter mod off. I would like to congratulate all the members who finished and to the members who did not finish I would like to thank you for your participation and continued support of Acidmods.com without you guys this great community would not exist. We will have other smaller contests through the year, keep an eye on the site and subscribe to our announcements for further information.

Vendaine is a new member to Acidmods, Tracey found him on facebook and invited him to join our site and contest. His work is some of the cleanest I have seen in a long time.  I ask all our regulars to welcome him to our community.

OK, I hate to do this, but we must move on.

BenFlash has failed to provide his shipping information to claim his prize. At this point I am forfeiting the second place prize and using it for a controller competition. I will try to get the 2013 summer controller contest drafted this weekend.

on average, when does school let out for the summer?

I would say mid june. Some states get out in may and others like NC get out june 19.

normally mid june but if the state had to close school due to weather condition etc.. then they extend school the same amount of days it was closed.

Northern states do this, like Vermont and New York. Snow days. You could count on having an extra week of school some years, although those kids who had perfect attendance could skip that last week. They never scheduled anything different, so that extra week was after finals, and there was nothing to do.
