L1 and R1 Grounds?
« on: December 22, 2014, 03:04:09 PM »
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to write code to control multiple buttons on the PS4 controller. I see that L1 and R1 have separate grounds from the other buttons. How can I use a micro to activate these buttons? I was thinking connect 1 of the grounds to a separate DAC reference, then use DAC to activate/deactivate the button. But that would only work for 1 button, not both R1 and L1.

How is this done for other mods? I'd appreciate any insight anyone has!

Thanks,
A fellow PS4 modder

No DAC is needed there. L1, R1, L3 and R3 are driven Hi (3.2v) on the DS4 controllers to activate them.

Thanks for the help! Sorry I'm pretty new to this. How about for the JDM-020 controller? I'm not too familiar with the hardware revs, does JDM-0x0 refer to DS-x controller? I have a JDM-020 controller, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks again!

All of the DS4 JDM version controllers work the same, so far anyway.
