Site Theme

I would like to get some opinions on a new theme for Acidmods. We are currently running on the SMF default theme and while it is clear and bright its just not what acidmods is about. We are modders and we dont leave anything on the default settings. LOl

The dark black and blue theme we have had for 10 years. It was a heavily modified theme and took me a long time to code and get just right. Not to say I cant recode it, but now is the time for some feedback from the younger members. Should we try to brighten up the page, should we recode and stick to our roots, or should we design a completely new theme?

I am curious to hear any feedback one way or another.

I see a lot of forums now that have 4 different color back drop schemes to choose from. U can do stock white, black, grayish blue, and pale. I.d.k the extent of what AM website can do but I'm just stating what I've seen in other various forums.

honestly, with the fresh install should come a fresh design.  I wish we still had the art team we could redesign the logo as well since we have grown from the psp days even know it is what made us well us colour wise it should have the options like before just not too crazy like we did with the flames and such :P

The color rotation mod is easy. I am talking about the whole theme, not just the colors. Like the ones shown here: http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/

I coded the old theme from scratch, but there are many already done to chose from that could be easily modified.

We need a new logo. There is a $50 gift card going up for a contest to design a new logo. I will create a new thread just for the logo and once entry are made we will have a voting poll to choose the new site logo.

I have an idea for a good logo but im not tok sure i can do it myself with my MS Paint and Gimp skills. lol.

Lol yes exactly. Im currently getting my system up and running again (amoung other things).

But i also wanted your feed back as to what you think the site logo should be.

Well, the spoiler mod has been removed from the SMF site and because we have BBC spoilers all over the site, they keep giving me errors as the old one we had used an old JAVA script. I dont care about the spoiler tag, just wish I could clear out the errors.


I installed the AEVA Media center again. I had to do that manually... what a PIA. There were a few errors in the code I had to find and modify, everything seems to function and there are no errors related to the media center, so it should be good.
