« on: January 31, 2021, 04:00:01 PM »

Hello, I'm new here and I have a problem with 2 model 1708 pads. They work on a micro usb cable but won't turn on on batteries. the batteries are working, I hold the power button and nothing. Will you help?
Nothing on the power board gets hot

Look on the Button/Power board for a missing L1 or a crack in the PCB first.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

there are no missing parts, no cracks are visible. I forgot to add that the pad was covered with some juice.

Something could be corroded and caused and open now. Start at the AA+ post and make your way thru everything that connects to it then. Schematic for that board is in the first post of the 1708 thread in the pinned topics.
