JDM-001 not charging
« on: April 16, 2021, 11:42:26 AM »
I have a JDM-001 controller connected to the charger since the phone charged 2 hours and stopped. Now it doesn't load anymore.
I checked on another JDS-001 and on a different battery (100% working) and not charging, someone will tell you what could be damaged?

Not sure if this is of help, the 5 legged components on the left hand side are voltage regulators, 3.2V

So measuring 3.2V means they are working.

the 6 legged components next to the regulators could be MOSFETs, need to check mine

the components market with 0 are zero ohm resistors or fuses, they should have continuity

I have a bunch of broken JDM-001 here, so I'm very interested in your findings

Edit:
the six legged components are market as KPH, those are are MOSFET, SSM6J412TU

Just FYI, most of my JDM-001 have a broken PMIC (BD92001), seems to be a common thing over all JDM variants.

Bought some from here
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32877818190.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.777d3c00ajLy8o&mp=1

Luckily the PMIC for the JDM-001 are relatively cheap.

There is some test points around that PMIC, what values do you read form there?

I'll get back the values for you once i have another JDM-001 open (currently busy with 055), but IIRC that 0.4 V should be Battery Voltage +0.2V (charging), assuming a battery is plugged in.

Someone will tell you what could be the reason?
How to check if BD92001 is damaged?
