Possible PS2 LED/elwire power points???

can someone confirm that this works and is not total B.S..... supposedly it is a 5.1v point but I don't have a multimeter can someone confirm this

resize pics much? and why dont you use the power off the fan? just tie in to it in parallel you get i think its around like 4.5v

dude thats an 11 volt point as far as i know...its definitely not 5 cos i'm powering a large fan with lights off it

actually that's a 12v point, you can use that, just put the proper ohm resistor inline and you shouldn't have any problems. you could tie into the fan but then you have to worry about changing the resistance, current and voltage values of the fan circuit and can run into problems there.

oh and seriously, hit up radio shack and spend the $20 on a digital multi meter, they're worth every penny...

yup its fine to use sorry i meant 12v not 11v  :drunk: dont solder to the fan connector use the points in the pic just get a proper resistor

JR is right about the fan, but i haven't run in to any problems and when it comes to amperage in fans unless you need the torque its not a big deal
