NEW way to make Pandora's Battery w/o solder!!!

I accidentally cut into the battery pack.     There was a puff of white smoke, and danger of it catching fire?  How should I safely dispose of it?  I do know that moisture and lithium do NOT mix well.

i checked my material safety data sheet for this type of mess and it said anything DRY like cat litter or sand will absorb any moisture to prevent it from reacting violently...

Absorb spilled material with an inert absorbent (dry sand or earth). Scoop contaminated absorbent into
an acceptable waste container. Collect all contaminated absorbent and dispose of according to
directions in Section 13. Scrub the area with detergent and water; collect all contaminated wash water
for proper disposal.

section 13 says:

Battery recycling is encouraged. Do NOT dump into any sewers, on the ground or into any body of water.
Store material Dispose in accordance with local,
state and federal laws and regulations.

Please don't mix lithium residue with chlorinated water@!!!!!

sweep up the majority of the sand/cat litter/lithium hazard... put in bucket and seal.

Boil water first, let it sit to cool before you try to clean up the residue

OMFG i never thought of the lithium in them! i have two punctured ones  from ps3 controllers just knocking round in one of random electronic scrap draws but i cant find them! how dangerous is that amount of lithium anyway surely theres not alot?

anything over that is probably bad. Ether way clean it up properly.

^your best bet at getting a real Sony battery would be like walmart or gamestop or Llama.com (he's a fellow hacker)...

it is an official sony battery no matter wat any1 else tells u, they have released a few different types of battery, i have the very same battery as u and it came with my psp wen bought new. I am currently trying 2 find a way 2 pandorise this battery at the mo, if i have any luck i will post links soon.

^hmmmm... not sure what to tell you...  does it look like the batt in the tut (all the writing on outside)... I'm not sure why sony would give you that batt... 

 because they r trying 2 stop us fom modding them. It is an offical battery. mine came from game so there is no way the battery is fake.

Wow, fixed the dead battery I got in my super cheap PSP - just hot plugged it with a 2 volt 47amp lightbulb, took just a couple seconds and it's good as new with a full charge!

Pulled the pin, works great! Now I've got a second Pandora!
