I think he means so Left Speaker lights one set of LED's, and Right Speaker lights a different set.

thats pretty much what i meant.

i know its really simple. i just need to know where the 5v and ground are on the mobo of the slim.

(5v and ground on the phat would be under the right speaker plug) where is it on the slim?

there's plenty of room in the phat too, you just need to know where to put the stuff... yes, the stereo mod has been done by a few people (including myself) though I don't think anyone ever posted pics or anything like that... the stereo mod does however require two (2) lm386 chips... since I don't currently own a slim I have no clue where they can be fit, but in the phat they can be fit between the case and mobo on the wifi side near the trigger button

(Here is a pic of the location, and HERE is the wiki page for the sound mod just in case) You can fit 2 lm386 chips there, but I highly recommend enclosing the chips and any exposed wires in some shrink-wrap...

I don't know if there is or not since I don't have a slim, but I'm sure there is one somewhere on the slim's mobo. I suggest a digital multimeter, then just find a ground and start poking around for a 5v spot... $20 @ RS...

Guys? I wrote a tut on the slim LED sound mod. Read it. There is a 5v and a ground! to do a stereo sound mod use two lm386s just run one off the left speaker and one off the right. Here I'll even give you the link...

https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=10815.0

i have room for the chips because im just going to take out my umd reader thingy.

Also under the Duo slot there is enough room to install a chotoshot and two lm386s, opps I said to much.....  :faint:

I cant stress the search button enough. This information is sticked here in this section....
