Dual Nub
« on: December 09, 2007, 12:52:38 PM »
Well I have a couple questions.
I want to make a Dual Nub for my PSP, but I am a complete to modding.
So I want as much information on how to make it myself as possible.
Money won't really be a problem for me. I have been looking around this site for a while but it is confusing.
I just want it so that it is opposite of my original nub, below the /\,X.O,[ ] buttons.

Hey, i'm also new to this, but this info i got from a few people.

First you have the A2D board, this board can make a analogue stick to a digital so it 'replaces' the /\,X.O,[ ] buttons
It doesn't however fits internally in the faceplate so it sticks a bit out.
So Acidmods maked a new board: Razor 2. It's thinner so it can fit internally into the faceplate. However you may need to remove the yellow AC power, from what i have heard. So the best choice is the Razor 2.
For buying the boards you can try at the auctions section.
Correct me if i'm wrong  :winker:

Well, What do you mean by replacing the yellow AC Power, and about what price will they go around, at the moment I don't see any auctions for any boards.

With the yellow Ac power thing, i meant that you may need to remove it or else there might not be enough space for the analogue stick. As for the price ndrew2505 is selling them for $10 per board.

So will that mean that I have to make a USB charger? Also will that board fit completely under my FP?

Yes you have to make the USB Charger mod and make your normal charger charge over USB and it will fit under the Faceplate, but it might need some shaving of the faceplate.

Ok so do if I have to get a razor 2 board and can I get a normal PSP analogue stick and will it work. Don't I have to take the board off the Nub and replace it with a Razor board.
Can anyone list all of the supplies to make it?
Thanks a lot guys I really appreciate it.

I think the hole must be almost the same as the original, but i'm not sure.
@Teh_0verl0rd, how big must the hole in the FP be? And, if you can, can you show us a pic of your dual nub PSP?
