Yay my DS project is done... after a few scary moments where i thought i'd bricked it im finally finished lol

Pictures below (excuse the quality phone camera) (Also i dont know why but some of the LEDs appear to be dimmer than the others :S ill sort it out another time tho and completely finish)

Not bad for a first attempt hehe, let me know what ya think

good job, I've would put a clear green bottom so it has a clamshell effect, but that just my opinion

Not bad mate, but I was kinda confused on the LED, since it was mad bright on one side, away from the jewel, but it didn't glow under it. Did you meant to do that? Anyway besides that it looks like a clean nice job on it. Gratz ! I would probably sell it to some Link fanatic lol.

its nice but in my opinion the jewel seems off balance otherwise looks great nice lighting and case.

Thats awesome looking, the only concern I would actually have, since I carry my handhelds in my pocket, catching the little shield jewel thingy on something, or it getting scratched, let us know how it all holds up after some use!

True to that, but it's can probably be removed, especially since the Top back portion of the DS is dettachable with the screwdriver. Have you tried hanging some kind of keychain on the DS? That would really top it off

lol um i havent really got to use it much as when i took it apart to fix some of the LED positioning i accidentally ripped out the top ribbon wire that conects the touch screen and it wont stay back in

lol (gonna mke a post about it to see if anyone can help me lol)

As for the key chain i do have a wind waker style link i could use on there or some other form of keychain but i wanna get it all working before i accessorise lol

1 question, how did you get the shield to stay like that, it looks like you melted plastic to it, but how did you do it?

Was added with glue so is on there pretty permenantly but i can remove the LED if it needs fixed or something, also the backplate can come off and be replaced by another one if i dont want the jewel on there

Nope not the belt buckle, was a free gift in a nintendo magazine lol, a pretty awesome free gift i might add

my ds (if i wanted it too) would look exactly the same as that, but right now ive taken off the LEDs and the whole link thing and just have it in a seethrough blue case with green buttons... its just more practical for playing and such
