External umd drive
« on: January 12, 2008, 07:19:07 AM »
has anybody ever created a external umd drive that can connect to your pc for ripping isos and such? the reason i was asking is because i am thinking about attempting to put in an ipod hard drive and battery where my umd drive is now... I think with ir shell it could be acomplished ... But anyways are there external umd drives out yet?

Thanks for the sig dhuvrock2000

he said he was taking the umd drive out of the psp tho

oh and i had the same idea but i then thought after all the different mod i have done to many psp's i would try and create some that can be added and removed with ease for example making a removable umd drive that just slots in when i need it although this would be quite hard it is still possible, anyway another way would be to make it plug into the usb slot externally so that you can remove it if you want it inside permanently then ill try and figure some way of being able to plug in the umd drive externally and get back to you

thanks

Whats the point, use the XMB recovery on 3.71 M33 firmware and change it to UMD and plug your psp in your computer and there you go, you can access your UMD.
