Macbook vs Macbook Pro
« on: January 13, 2008, 12:57:39 PM »
Well....here is the dilemma (sp?).

I love both laptops but would equally love to save a few hundred pounds and have a smaller and lighter laptop.

All that is stopping me from going for the Macbook is the stupid Intel GMA X3100....!

Pretty much the only PC game that I play and would still like to be able to play when I get my next laptop is Battlefield 2.

Any thoughts about the laptops in general or about gaming/graphics would be great! I should also mention that if I want to get the Pro then I would have to save up money for a bit longer (obviously) and this is annoying because I am highly impatient!

Yeah, whatever I do it will definitely be after MWSF but if the new Macbook Air, or whatever Mr Jobs plans on calling it, is released, is it likely that it would solve the problem of the graphics card or lack of?

neat, yeah, i heard macbook slim, and a new imac style base station for it

but wether or not there is gona be a new MBP, i'd spring for that ( i did and its amazing, i got call of duty 4 and it runs like a dream)
most of my school chums have a macbook (2 have blackbook, looks nice) but the graphics card aint that great

if you want crysis, cod4, battlefield 2, battlefield 2142, bioshock, etc. the new n' good stuff
then its MBP

if you want battlefield 1942
then its macbook

however of course wait for mr. jobs' keynote on the new line, they might add some great new card to the macbook slim

ok i looked at the graphics card, so if you want the same performance with some perks (wireless) and downfalls (80 GB max, 1.8 Ghz max) then get the air, if not, go for regular macbook
if not that, then teh uuber l33t macbook pro!

I'm probably just going to wait until July and see if anything comes out of WWDC and if it does, then I will probably get the what will be the updated MacBook Pro.....if not, I will just get the current Macbook Pro!
