I was curious is acidmods over staffed or under staffed?

if anything i don't thing there are enough mods spread out over the time zones, seems every one is on at the same time or off at the same time. but a lot of that has to do with work and stuff like that.

but yeah i think were fine.

would love to know your opinion seeing as how you threw up the topic for discussion

well i think in some areas we are over staffed and some under staffed,

I think we could do with some more global mods especially in different time zones as you said tec, I think the admins have better things to do than the globals jobs hence we need more yes?

I also think we should have more locals in hope of the whole forum getting a "spring cleaning" I liek to organise things =P

However in contrast of that I dont think we have enough members who are dedicated enough to make an impact.

Thats jsut what i think anyways

i think acidmods is ok with mods/admins its just some are never online

Well we have that many admins they dont all need to be online TBh, but i wouldnt have it any other way ^^

but we have like 3 global mods that ive seen properly scouring through the whole forum, not dissing them or anything but its a lot for jsut 3 guys.

The admins contribute alot to what i thought was the globals job, surely admins shouldnt have to do all that?
They must have mroe important things to do?
No? Maybe its jsut me I jsut dont know

idk its easy to arm chair quarterback all there decisions, but god knows i wouldn't want to make them. sure i would love to have the power to delete threads, posts, and code links. but i don't want to deal with all the things they have to deal with. and with time zones personal lives i understand why they are on when they are on.

so over all i dont have any issues with the set up

what was the purpose of the global mods? are they the ones who speak different languages to help out our non English speaking members?

that would suck to want to mod your stuff, but not be able to under stand any of what was written

most of us here speak english as a first or second language with slight difficulty but the bascs are understood.

Then we have the more fluent 2nd language english speakers who could help peopel from theyre country whatever t may be.

THEN we have our multi lingual members such as myself who can understand msot european languages....

Apart from that global mods are theyre to keep the forum clean and safe for its users, i'm merely stating i dont think we have enough =]

Plus you're far too busy with youre kickass R&D position =P not everyoen can be that but anyone with the dedication can be a global.

Myself on the other hand would love the responsibility and the chance to further contribute.

i appear as r/d but im a global underneath

but even then indy knows i count as 10 global mods so its all cool

and yeah we have lots of armchair quarterbacks here

i get pm'd and msn's relentlessly telling me i constantly make bad calls, shouldn't have

this or that etc, but only ever once by an admin and that was over a post not so much a moderator decision

I Have To Agree With Indy, We Have A Fair Amount, But The Right Amount Of Admins.
Although I Would Like To See Some More Local And Global Moderators, Which Should be Spread More Widely Across The Forum.
But The Moderators Chosen Must Be Dedicated, Active Within Their Timezone And Not Just Wanting The Job For The Title... (I Dunno If That Means Dedicated Again, Lol)

There are dedicated members who even post in all sections to learn, advise or smite! =P

But the way things are run noone would look or care to fix it ... not dissing anyone or anything =P

Hence why I ask questions when nothigns going on, or post a challenge to liven things up a bit give us somethign to speak about.

i also love to make up little stories that are soo eccentric people jsut have to LOL =P

such as area 51 conspiracy and cyberpyrot: man or virus? those were my best creations =P
