POC: PSP Sound Mod 110 Watts HardWare!!!
« on: February 26, 2008, 01:09:37 PM »
Hey all the People!  :victory:

I'm Reddwarf2, Lead Modder of the PspHackersTeam, the only one PSP Mod Website in France.

We also discovered something that really interesting this month:

=>The PSP Audio Chip can powered an 110Watts Speaker!!!

This POC has been release by Alex.

The Sound is REALLY higher and stronger!

IT's JUST A PROOF OF CONCEPT, Don't say it's Stupid to wired an 2 Kg Speaker because the PSP is portable!

It Just was to show to everyone that the PSP can powered MEGA-MEGA Speakers!!!

Not Just :censored:ty Sony PSP Speakers!

You can see our Proof Of Concept HERE:

Some people put Big Ugly speakers behind they're PSP like this guy:

But we also think that's really not nice  :eyebrow:

So, we work on an New sort of PSP Speaker Mod:

Smaller/better/In!

We also will release an Tutorial in french in the first time and certainly in english in the second time.

But we had to secure this mod.

SO, if you have some question, Ask Me!

Sorry for my english, i'm toooo frenchy  :beg:

I had a psp with a largeish speaker in the back before..

How small can you find a 110 watt speaker? PSP sized?

But it's not interesting, it's not an Mod. It's just Jack wired + Ac/Dc alimentation.

Our BIG Speaker is powered only by the PSP

running such a big speaker will sure burn out the psp's internal amp way faster...

also just cause the peak is 110 watts doesnt mean anything...

does anyone do car stereo installs???

i could hook my psp up to a DJ's loudspeaker and get sound... toat doesnt mean it is powering it fully....

look for instance at these speakers....
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PIONEER-TS-G1041R-4-2-WAY-110-WATTS-CAR-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ360027630504QQihZ023QQcategoryZ14938QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

THE RMS IS 2-20 watts...

2 watts......

hmm...

4 ohms...

2 watts....

the higher the ohms rating for speakers, generally the harder it is to "drive" the speaker

the speaker here is 4 OHMS.. RMS of 2 watts (minimum)

ok so... the psp speaker reads 8.1 so i believe the speaker to be a 10 ohm (always reads lower then actual due to the varying impadances at different frequencies)

read up on speakers and amplifiers...

i just dont see anything special about this at all...

POC? nah...

now if you were to work in an internal amplifier that could fully pull a 12inch sub and work it into a plug on the psp.... that would be soemthing (although the battery would die after 1 or 2 deep bass hits)

check it out...

Mythbusters YO!

 :taunt:

You've ear the sound no?

Do you think that's a low sound????

Really dude !

So, we found that the PSP chip can powered Big-Big speakers.

It's a POC.

A Proof Of Concept.

So, if you can tell me that anyone done it before us I will die, prove it

Nananah.  :yess:  :hifive:

Than you should find some speakers with 1 or 0,5 Ohm than you have Real power and make your vriends yalous that you made aan program that makes the speaker go louder

Oui, enfin, certains membres de PSPGEN ne nous donnent pas envie de continuer sérieux!

Heureusement qu'il y en a qui croient en nous et qui nous supportent(comme toi par exemple).

=> Thereddwarf@hotmail.fr

J'aimerai un peu te parler perso  :victory:

So, I said to Qu3nt1n that some members of PSPGEN are really for Us but some other are against our POC and our projects(tell me why because I don't know XD).

We really wanna say: "Thanks!" To all the members who support our project.   :victory:
