Can this device function as a HDD for the PSP??
« on: March 10, 2008, 12:26:31 AM »
Search ebay for the following to see what I am refering to since its the only non-wholesalers site I can find that sells the product (can you say black market LoL):

"2.5 HARD DRIVE DISK HDD PLAYER SD MMC OTG HOST"

Features I found on wholesalers sites:

OTG FUNCTION
let you transfer data without computer. Just connect the USB port, use one button, can copy the data from your CF/SD/MMC or external USB device(U disc/card reader/mp3 player )  directly

HOST FUNCTION
support to play the multi-media file in external USB device(U disc/card reader/mp3 player )

EDIT FUNCTION
can do the operations as copy, remove, rename, delete, and etc, for the files and folders in the HDD.

tier are lot of these type of devices around but the problem is they only transfer and take data off the memory stick and not as a HDD for the PSP.

mabe someone could try removing the UMD mounting a HD and then tricking the psp into thinking the harddrive is a UMD hehehe :hifive: . but this would require cfw to transfer files to and from it (because you would need to switch USB mode to UMD).

also despite that 2.5 inch HDDs are quite large for a PSP, if you want internal. Find a creative zen micro HDD or something.
